Zhejiang Yangfan Receives Order for Eight Container Vessels (China)

Up to eight 2,300 teu container vessels will be constructed by the Chinese shipbuilder Zhejiang Yangfan Group, based on the order placed by German ship-owner Bernhard Schulte and financial institution JP Morgan, the Seatrade Asia reports.

Namely, the contract stipulates four firm newbuildings, offering an option for construction of additional four carriers. Each newbuilding is worth USD 26.5 million and the first units are expected to be completed by the end of 2014.

Zhejiang Yangfan Group is the largest shipbuilding group in Zhejiang Province and the scope of its bussiness operation includes shipbuilding and marine outfitting.
