2012 Shanghai ship exports value dropped by 16.2% year-on-year

According to the statistics from Shanghai Customs, in 2012 the accumulative total exports value of all kinds of ships dropped by 16.2% to $5.88 billion, year-on-year. 7 months saw the decreasing, among which the exports value of December was $230 million, reaching the lowest level since February 2011.

The exports value of contract foreign projects sharply declined by 97% to only $10 million. And the processing trade of exporting ships brought $5.5 billion, 13.1% less than the same time last year and taking up 93.5% of the total exports value.
