Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding has won an order of four LNG carriers from NYSE-listed Teekay LNG Partners.

The four 174,000m³ vessels will have an overall length of 290m and beam of 46.95m, with delivery scheduled for September 2017, January 2018, June 2018, and January 2019. They will transport LNG from the Queensland Curtis Island LNG Project, which is part of a supply agreement between CNOOC and BG Group (UK) for 3,600,000 tonnes/year of LNG for 20 years.

The Queensland Curtis Island LNG Project has global LNG sales agreements for almost 10M tonnes/year. No costs were disclosed for these newbuildings.
