TAIWAN'S Wan Hai posted a 157 per cent second quarter year-on-year profit increase to TWD$1.1 billion (US$36.1 million), drawn on revenues of TWD$16.7 billion, which increased 12.8 per cent.

Year to date, Wan Hai's half-year net profit increased 208 per cent to TWD$1.7 billion. Operating costs at Wan Hai grew at slower pace than revenues, to TWD $14.2 billion in the second quarter compared to TWD$13.5 billion.
