Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) will announce white list of offshore construction companies after releasing the first batch of a list of Chinese shipyards involved in 51 state-owned and private enterprises in this September.

Different from Shipbuilding industry Model Standard, Offshore Engineering Equipment Model Standard requires technology innovation and project management.

According to statement of Shipbuilding industry Model Standard released by MIIT, the white list of offshore companies will offer basis for the state and central government policy support, guiding social resources especially bank credit support and government support to concentrate on high-quality enterprises,

Most offshore equipment manufacturers are shipbuilding companies, but they are different in numbers. The number of white list of offshore companies will far less than white list of ship yards.
