China's urban fixed asset investment rose 15.9 percent from one year earlier to 40.62 trillion yuan (6.62 trillion U.S. dollars) in the first 10 months of 2014, the National Bureau of Statistics said on Thursday.

The pace of increase slowed further from the 16.1-percent growth registered in the January-September period and 20.1-percent rise posted in the same 10 months last year.
