Shanghai: China Shipping Container Lines (CSCL) and Pacific International Lines (PIL) have teamed up on a new China-West Africa service beginning on January 20 from Shanghai.
The two companies will jointly deploy 12 panamax vessels for the service. Seven of the vessels will be provide by PIL and five by CSCL.
The service will make calls at Shanghai, Ningbo, Xiamen, Shekou, Nansha, Singapore, Lome, Tincan, Tema, Abidjan, Colombo and Port Klang.
“As a lead carrier to Africa, PIL offers two other direct China-West Africa services, one direct service from India/Middle East, and three feeder services to complete its West Africa network,” PIL said in a release.
