Wuchang Shipbuilding Industry Group has bagged a bumper order to construct 16 OSVs for a Singaporean shipowner.

Wuchang Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (CSIC), will build six units of 8,000 bhp AHTS vessels and 10 units of 16,000 bhp multi-purpose workboats for the buyers.

The DP2-capable AHTS vessels are based on the inhouse designs of Wuchang Shipbuilding, and the shipyard claimed to be the first in China to break into the international market with the 8,000 bhp AHTS vessel series.
