Keppel bags $88.5m in offshore contracts

Keppel Offshore and Marine (Keppel O&M) rounded out 2015 with SGD125m ($88.5m) worth of contract wins.

Keppel Shipyard in Singapore picked-up to conversion jobs for Malaysian offshore players. Bumi Armada has inked a contract for a LNG FSU conversion, which is due to be completed in the third quarter of 2016 for deployment at theDelimara LNG Regasification Terminal in Malta.

The yard has also bagged an FPSO conversion for Yinson Holdings. Work is due to start in first quarter 2016 for the unit to be deployed offshore Ghana.

"Even in challenging market conditions, we are glad to be the choice yard for operators. This is the 14th conversion/upgrading project that we are undertaking for Bumi Armada. It is also their first LNG FSU conversion project and we are proud to be their trusted partner again,” said YY Chow, ceo of Keppel O&M.

Outside of Singapore Keppel FELS Brasil was a awarded an FPSO integration project by MODEC Offshore Production Systems and Caspian Shipyard Company in Baku is to strengthen the steel structure of a barge for BP Exploration (Shah Deniz) Limited.
