Diana Shipping is continuing to lock in time charters on its dry bulk vessels despite the current extremely low rates.

New York Stock Exchange-listed Diana announced it had chartered the 2004-built, 74,444 dwt panamax Erato to Glencore Grain for 11 to 14 months at $4,650 per minus 5% commission.

It also chartered the 77,529 dwt, 2014-built, ice-class panamax Atalandi to Glencore grain. The vessel is fixed for 20 – 25 months at $5,300 per day minus 5% commission.

Diana said the two charters would generate a minimum of $4.6m in gross charter revenue.
