REM Offshore hit by charterer default

Charterer Adams Offshore has defaulted on a charter for a CSV owned by REM Offshore.

REM Offshore said that the charter party CSV REM Poseidon between REM Ship and Adams Offshore had been terminated due to a failure of the charterer to fulfill its obligations.

It said that the company had bank guarantees to secure payments through the second quarter.

REM Offshore currently has four vessels in lay-up comprising three PSVs and one CSV, with five other vessels coming open for spot charter in April and May.
