Brittany Ferries Reports Best Performance in a Decade

French shipping company Brittany Ferries recorded a 3 percent rise in its overall passenger numbers, reaching over 2,67 million passengers in 2016.

The company’s turnover for the year was also up by 5.2 percent to EUR 454.9 million.

The increase, recorded for the fourth consecutive year, represents the company’s “best performance in a decade,” according to Brittany Ferries.

In addition to growth in passenger numbers, the shipping firm reported a rise in freight carried. In total 204,000 units were transported in 2016, up by 6.7 percent y-o-y.

Brittany Ferries operates services from Portsmouth, Poole and Plymouth to France and Spain. There is also a weekly service from Roscoff in Brittany to Cork in Ireland.
