Russian wheat exports in the 2016-17 marketing year from July 1 to June 28 were up 9.3% year on year at 26.823 million mt, Ministry of Agriculture data showed.

Wheat exports from Russia have been slower than expected in the 2016-17 marketing year as farmers have been slow to let go of their stocks on the domestic market due to low prices.

Russian exporters have now also shipped 5.047 million mt of corn in the current marketing year, 7.5% higher year on year.

Barley exports are at 2.935 million mt, down 31% from the same point last year.
