SwissMarine Hires Diana Shipping’s Capesize

Greek dry bulk ship owner Diana Shipping has entered into a time charter contract with Geneva-based SwissMarine Services for one of its Capesize dry bulk vessels.

Under the deal, the company’s 177,729 dwt m/v Houston would be hired at a gross charter rate of USD 19,000 per day for a period of nine to eleven months.

Diana Shipping informed that the charter is expected to start on May 9, 2018.

This employment is to generate around USD 4.85 million of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter.

The 2009-built dry bulk vessel Houston is currently chartered to the company at a gross charter rate of USD 10,000 per day.
