After a few successes of trials, Wilhelmsen Ships Service (WSS) is now ready to provide the agency service for Oil Pollution Response to all vessels calling at ports in China.

It was followed by the announcement of the Chinese authority all vessels calling Chinese ports are requested to have a properly signed Contract with the licensed oil collecting companies in China. The rule took effect from January 1st, with a grace period until March 1st for strict implementations.

As a response, WSS is able to assist Shipowners have the service Contract signed with licensed suppliers at all ports in China. In conjunction with other agency services provided by WSS, the aim is to eliminate the operations burden on ship owners to increase their vessels operations efficiency at China ports.
