航运困顿年里Lloyd's List的英雄榜

Just a few days before the “big doom”, UK based shipping intelligence newspaper Lloyd’s List announced their favorite choices of this another doomed year.

就在传说中“世界末日”的前几天,英国的航运情报媒体Lloyd’s List宣布了其评选的本年度最具影响力的航运业名人。

Norway shipping tycoon John Fredriksen made No.1 of this year from third place in both 2011 and 2010. I trust his babysitting skills of the world’s biggest tanker fleet in a distress year contribute a lot to this laurel. Not even to mention his successful rescue plan of Frontline earlier this year through the establishment of Frontline 2012, with bold ambitions and his own vault.

挪威航运巨头John Fredriksen从2010,2011连续两年的亚军位置跃居今年的榜首。我认为这项桂冠首先要归功于他在航运不景气的年份对自己的全球最大油轮船队良好的运营和管理。更不用说他今年初的时候自己出资,以极大的智慧和勇气通过成立Frontline2012公司成功的挽救了破产边缘的Frontline.

AP Moller Maersk’s CEO Nils Andersen was dropped out of throne as runner up this year. In spite of Maersk’s continuing efforts to the transforming and improving of the container shipping, and setting new standard of customer service, their Dunkirk plan to cut down investment on traditional shipping business and raise shares of energy and terminal sector really hurts.

去年的榜单第一名AP Moller Maersk公司的首席执行官Nils Andersen今年屈居亚军。马士基集团坚持不懈的对集装箱运输和客户标准化服务领域的贡献有目共睹。但是他们今年宣布的敦刻尔克式的对传统航运业务的投资大撤退,并转投至能源和码头领域对他们榜单的位置产生了一定消极的影响。

The head of China’s ministry of communications hit the top three again in three years list. But I can tell 2012 was not a good year for the policy maker as well. The shipping market crisis brought two big headaches to the deputy minister, the record loss of state owned shipping companies and the widespread bankruptcy of private owned small to medium size shipyards. However we can still bid on the China’s smooth power transition would be a lighthouse to lead a way out. In 2013, the ministry are also hoped to draw a roadmap to lift the ban of Valemax vessels to China, since there are already too many of them in service, we cannot ignore them forever.

中国交通部的大佬连续三年再一次荣居榜单前三名,但是2012年同样对这些航运政策的制定者来说也不好过。航运市场的危机给他们带来了两个老大难问题,第一是国有航运企业创纪录的大幅亏损,第二是病毒般蔓延的民营中小船厂的破产倒闭。但是鉴于十八大的胜利召开,国家权力的顺利过渡,我认为明年政府会有更积极的刺激政策出台来帮助航运造船企业摆脱困境。同样,明年交通部也在解决淡水河谷40万载重吨矿砂船靠泊中国问题上被寄予了厚望,越来越多的Valemax船型投入了运营,我们不能一直就此问题避而不谈。

List’s frequent guests are again welcomed this year, reputable Greek shipowners for their tireless commitment to unite the shipping industry, Cosco and China shipping’s bosses for their too big to fall, Vale’s CEO for his insistence on Valemax, Mike Duke for Walmart’s innovative on containerized commodies shipping and steersmen of Export Import bank of China and Sinopec for their huge impact on the newbuilding and chartering market.

同时,劳氏榜单上往年的常客今年也基本再次上榜:著名的希腊船东们和他们对凝聚航运业所作出的不朽贡献,大到不能倒闭的中远和中海的总裁,淡水河谷CEO和他对Valemax船型的信心,沃尔玛Mike Duke和他对集装箱商品运输的创新理念,中国进出口银行,中石化掌舵人和他们对新造船,租船市场的巨大影响。

What’s interesting this year is the founder of Security Association for the Maritime Industry Peter Cook supersede Garaad Mohammed the mastermind behind piracy off the coast of Somalia to the front row of this year list. In light of the global effort to flight piracy, the EU Navfor, US and PRC navy patrols, private maritime security companies, pirate activities and success ratio are both significantly reduced. I have to say, that gives a sweet relief to the already money troubled shipping companies.

今年榜单上比较有趣的一个变化是,Security Association for the Maritime Industry的创始人Peter Cook替换掉了索马里海盗首脑Garaad Mohammed占据了榜单的前列。在全球包括EU Navfor,美国,中国海军护航舰队,私人海事安保公司的努力打击下,海盗行为和成功率今年都有了显著的下降。不得不说,这给了已经谈钱色变的船东一片不小的救心丸。
